We had an amazing stay at Die Port Van Cleve! The staff were all so friendly, especially Karim who was just amazing. They all really made us feel welcome. The hotel itself is such a cool historical building. The location was perfect, right in the center of everything. If you go make sure you stop in to the bar and check out the blue tiles. We stayed in a room down on the ground floor which was a bit of an adventure to get to down some narrow stairs but it was all part of the fun, and as a result we got breakfast included and it was one of the best hotel breakfasts Ive had. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam who wants an ecclectic and historic experience right in the city center.

The hotel is conveniently located at the heart of Amsterdam, walking distance to many attractions and touristic sites. The elevator is a pleasant plus especially in a city like Amsterdam where you usually have to climb steep stairs in hotels. The rooms are new and cleaned daily. The staff is very helpful — special thanks to Mr. Ercan at the front desk. My favourite part of the hotel is the conjoined restaurant where you can enjoy a glass of negroni with their famous numbered steak, which is precisely what i did consecutively. This was my third time staying at this hotel and i presume i will be staying here again.

We had a room on the ground floor at the rear of the hotel with its own entrance which was great. The room was a good size and had good facilites, a nespresso coffee maker, kettle, a mini fridge, seldom seen these days, a good shower, 2 TVs with loads of channels and good wifi which was free. All in all it was just great and we will use it again as we have family living in Amsterdam, but we like our own space.

Great location with Central Station only a 10-minute walk away and all major attractions also within walking distance. Even though it is in the middle of the city we found it quiet at night on the higher floor (we were on the 4th floor). Good security at night as you have to interact with the hotel manager to enter the hotel. Restaurant attached to the hotel is nice but way overpriced

Historic hotel. Nice lounge areas in the lobby. Great bar with wooden wainscoting floor to ceiling. Restaurant had nice wines and excellent oysters Rockefeller and filet mignon. Our final room had an excellent comfy bed, room darkening drapes and a nice modern bath with shower. A safe for valuables, coffee maker that brewed an excellent cup. Close to Anne Frank House.
